AFC World War I Memorial being relocated to Huntington's Foundry development (wchstv.com) ā A World War I memorial honoring American Car and Foundry workers is being moved to a more visible spot within Huntingtonās Foundry development, where it will be restored and rededicated. City officials say the relocation ties into broader revitalization efforts, including converting a former machining building into Marshall Universityās new robotics and welding space.

Ohio man charged as police seize "significant quantities" of drugs from Huntington home (wchstv.com) ā Police and federal task force officers seized suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, cash, and a firearm while searching a home on 16th Street in Huntington, leading to drug charges against an Ohio man. Authorities say the joint operation by the Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force, U.S. Marshals, and State Police shut down a local drug house and removed significant narcotics from city streets.

DOH shares bridge replacement after 6-foot-wide hole opens in roadway (wsaz.com) ā Drivers in Huntington should know a six-foot-wide hole opened this week on the Westmoreland Bridge along US Route 60, forcing emergency repairs and a temporary lane closure. DOH says the bridge will be replaced starting as soon as this fall or winter, with work expected to last about 18 months, while short-term patching and weekly inspections continue.
