• 231 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of fentanyl, illegal firearms seized in West Virginia, man sentenced to federal prison (wtrf.com) — A federal drug case tied to Martinsburg has resulted in a 27‑month prison sentence for a West Virginia man involved in distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine. Investigators, working from Mineral County, seized large quantities of drugs, firearms, and cash after tracking the suspect from a Keyser residence to a local store. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office serving Martinsburg.
   

• Martinsburg falls to Hurricane in state baseball quarterfinals (journal-news.net) — Martinsburg High’s baseball team saw its state tournament run end with a 6–2 quarterfinal loss to Hurricane in Huntington. The Bulldogs jumped ahead on a Jamere Brown leadoff homer, but defensive errors and limited offense let Hurricane pull away and advance to face Morgantown in the semifinals.
