• Mason County residents faced with buyout as AI data center campus goes up (wowktv.com) — A massive AI data center campus is rising just north of Point Pleasant, and nearby Meadowlands Estates homeowners say flooding, noise, and tremors are already disrupting their lives. Developer Nscale is offering above-market buyouts and covering recent flood damage, while some longtime residents weigh leaving and others vow to stay and push for stronger community protections. 
• Gallipolis structure fire causes damage, no injuries reported (wvnews.com) — Point Pleasant firefighters helped battle a major structure fire in nearby Gallipolis this week, where a downtown-area building was destroyed but everyone escaped safely. Mutual aid from the Point Pleasant Fire Department and other agencies limited damage to neighboring homes and kept the incident from spreading further into the community.
