• Ravenswood Middle football closes season with win (wvnews.com) — Ravenswood Middle School’s football team wrapped up its season at 5-3 after a dominant 60-22 home win over Webster County, securing fifth place in the Central West Virginia Athletic Conference. Coach Aaron Bennett praised how much the Ravenswood players improved since June workouts and expects several eighth graders to contribute to the high school squad next year. 
• ‘Are you hungry?' Pantry founder prepares hundreds of Thanksgiving boxes (wvnews.com) — Ravenswood residents in need can sign up by Nov. 14 for a free Thanksgiving dinner box distributed drive-through style at the Ravenswood plaza on Nov. 21. Cottageville pantry founder Rhonda Lee is organizing hundreds of turkey-and-trimmings boxes and is also seeking donations to help cover rising food costs so every registered family gets enough for leftovers.
