ā¢ Antigo Fire Department working to add first āSafe Haven Baby Box' in north central Wisconsin (wsaw.com) ā Antigoās Fire Department is moving ahead with plans for a Safe Haven Baby Box, backed by City Council approval to fundraise about $20,000 without using tax dollars. The box would be installed on a fire station exterior wall, offering an anonymous, alarm-equipped way to safely surrender newborns under Wisconsinās Safe Haven law, with community volunteers already stepping up to help. ā¢ Chequamegon teams place third at Hodag Invite (gazettextra.com) ā Antigoās boys and girls track teams both finished mid-pack at Tuesdayās Hodag Hybrid Indoor/Outdoor Invitational in Rhinelander, with Chequamegon placing third overall. Local athletes from Antigo competed against 10 regional schools, including Rhinelander, Hurley, and Crandon, in a full slate of running, relay, and field events. Ā Ā Ā
