• Gerald L. DeGrote – KDWA 1460 AM & FM 97.7 (kdwa.com) — Balsam Lake is mourning longtime resident Gerald “Jerry” DeGrote, 74, who passed away June 9 after a battle with dementia. Remembered for his devotion to family, outdoor adventures, and service at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, he and his wife Kitty cherished summers in Balsam Lake. His family thanks St. Croix Hospice and Endeavors in Balsam Lake for their compassionate care.
