• Road construction at busy southside intersection slated to begin Monday (gazettextra.com) — Drivers from Barron heading through Rice Lake’s south side should expect months of lane shifts and temporary signals as Wisconsin Avenue and Highway O are rebuilt starting Monday, April 20. The Barron County-side intersection will get longer turn lanes, new sidewalks, and upgraded traffic signals, with all lanes expected open by June 26 and final completion targeted by late September, weather permitting.
