• Barron County tourism grows 1.5%, while Wisconsin strikes another record (gazettextra.com) — Tourism spending in Barron County hit a record $193 million in 2025, but growth of just 1.5% is lagging behind neighboring counties and local goals. County leaders praise tourism efforts in Barron, Rice Lake, and Turtle Lake, yet say more events are needed to attract visitors. Statewide, tourism surged to a record $27 billion, outpacing Barron County’s modest gains.
