• Caledonia man accused of shooting and killing neighbor's dog charged with animal mistreatment (cbs58.com) — A Caledonia resident has been charged after allegedly shooting a neighbor's dog with a pellet gun in July, leading to the animal's death during emergency surgery. Prosecutors say video and later admissions support the felony mistreatment-of-animals charge, with an initial court appearance set for Sept. 10.
