Earth Fest supports sustainability at Sonnentag (leadertelegram.com) ā Eau Claire Earth Fest 2026 comes to the Sonnentag Center this Saturday, showcasing local sustainability groups, student research, and a LEED Gold-certified venue. Organizers from Eau Claire County, UWāEau Claire, and partners are planning hands-on exhibits, a student panel, and a public-voted research prize. Eau Claire Transit will offer free bus fare and the site supports walking, biking, and EV charging.

3. 11th Annual Golden Apple Award Banquet held at Florian Gardens (weau.com) ā Eau Claire educators and staff were celebrated Thursday night at the Golden Apple Awards banquet, hosted at Florian Gardens and organized by the Eau Claire Public Schools Foundation. One standout from each of the districtās 20 public schools, plus a district service center staffer, received recognition and a $500 grant to support student-focused projects, highlighting everyday work happening in local classrooms.

Saints battle tough before falling to No. 9 Washburn (leadertelegram.com) ā Regis/McDonellās girls soccer team put up a spirited fight at Eau Claire Regis before falling 3ā1 to ninth-ranked Washburn. Junior Olivia Haselwanderās late goal briefly pulled the Saints within one, energizing the squad. Hmong Resettlement documentary airs at Pablo Center (weau.com) ā More than 1,000 people packed Eau Claireās Pablo Center for the premiere of āA Half Century Home,ā a locally produced documentary on Hmong history and community. Created by the staff of Eau Claireās Volume One magazine, the film explores centuries of Hmong history and will soon be available to watch for free along with companion feature stories.
