Earth Fest supports sustainability at Sonnentag (leadertelegram.com) — Eau Claire Earth Fest 2026 comes to the Sonnentag Center this Saturday, showcasing local sustainability groups, student research, and a LEED Gold-certified venue. Organizers from Eau Claire County, UW–Eau Claire, and partners are planning hands-on exhibits, a student panel, and a public-voted research prize. Eau Claire Transit will offer free bus fare and the site supports walking, biking, and EV charging.

An Eau Claire North student overcame homelessness struggles to graduate, now she wants to help other kids (wqow.com) — A recent Eau Claire North graduate is sharing how district homelessness services helped her stay in school and earn a scholarship from the Eau Claire Sunrise Exchange Club. After periods of housing instability, she’s now heading to college to study child psychology, hoping to support other kids facing similar struggles. Her story highlights growing student homelessness in the Eau Claire Area School District and the resources available to families.

3. 11th Annual Golden Apple Award Banquet held at Florian Gardens (weau.com) — Eau Claire educators and staff were celebrated Thursday night at the Golden Apple Awards banquet, hosted at Florian Gardens and organized by the Eau Claire Public Schools Foundation. Hmong Resettlement documentary airs at Pablo Center (weau.com) — More than 1,000 people packed Eau Claire’s Pablo Center for the premiere of ā€œA Half Century Home,ā€ a locally produced documentary on Hmong history and community.
