Native plants spruce up Harvey Street park with AARP community grant (fox11online.com) — A Harvey Street park in Green Bay is getting a new "Path for Pause" meditation area, funded by an AARP Community Challenge grant and designed with native plants arranged as four seasonal artworks. The Green Bay Conservation Corps and city development staff are leading the project, which will create a more reflective, wildlife-friendly space and is expected to be finished next month.
   

2. Three pets killed in Green Bay house fire (wbay.com) — A Green Bay family was displaced Friday afternoon after a house fire on the 300 block of Windward Road caused about $195,000 in damage and killed three pets. Green Bay Metro Fire crews quickly knocked down flames in the kitchen area, and while no people were hurt, the cause remains under investigation as the four residents seek temporary housing.
   

3. Green Bay schools honor eight alumni, former educator in Hall of Fame ceremony (fox11online.com) — Green Bay residents can celebrate eight distinguished alumni and one longtime educator who were just inducted into the Green Bay Area Public School District Hall of Fame at Hotel Northland. Honorees span all four district high schools and recognize decades of professional success and community service, highlighting the impact of local public education on graduates' lives.
   

4. Kingston Allen makes Wisconsin high school football history in Notre Dame Academy win (wearegreenbay.com) — High school football fans in Green Bay just watched history as Notre Dame Academy's Kingston Allen ran for 306 yards and five touchdowns in a 63-0 win over Green Bay West. The senior surpassed 100 career rushing touchdowns and 2,000 yards this season, helping the Tritons clinch at least a share of the FRCC-South title heading into next week's finale.
   

5. Wisconsin awards financial literacy grants to schools, community groups (wbay.com) — From Green Bay, state officials announced new financial literacy grants that will support schools and community groups across Wisconsin, including CESA 7 based in Green Bay. Local districts that didn't receive direct funding may still benefit as CESA 7 develops and shares curriculum training to strengthen money-management education for students from elementary grades through high school.
