• Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake embarks on renovation project (fox11online.com) — Thrasher Opera House in downtown Green Lake has officially broken ground on a major renovation that will finally make the historic venue fully ADA-accessible while preserving its 1910 charm. Construction will run through May 2027, but shows will continue, so residents can still enjoy performances at 506 Mill Street even as the building is upgraded for better access and comfort. 
• Acclaimed jazz ensemble Artemis performs at Thrasher Opera House (thenorthwestern.com) — Green Lake’s Thrasher Opera House is bringing acclaimed jazz ensemble Artemis to town for a May 16 concert at 7:30 p.m., giving locals a chance to hear a globally recognized group close to home. The all-star band, praised by major jazz publications and NPR, will perform music from its award-winning albums, with tickets available online, by phone, or at the box office.
• Stanley Long (covchurch.org) — Green Lake is briefly highlighted as the Wisconsin site where Rev. Dr. Stanley Long transferred his ordination to the Evangelical Covenant Church in 1999, connecting his national ministry story to the community. The obituary traces his long career in urban ministry, leadership in Black evangelical circles, and decades of pastoral work in California, while honoring his deep faith, family life, and upcoming celebration-of-life service.
