• 16 openings available for BBBS program (newmedia-wi.com) — Families and volunteers in Gresham should know Big Brothers Big Sisters runs weekly school-based mentoring right in Gresham, alongside Shawano, Tigerton and Wittenberg-Birnamwood. The program has grown to 55 matches in Shawano County but still has 16 local kids waiting for a ‘big.’ Organizers stress that mentors of all ages and backgrounds can help youth facing poverty and other challenges build confidence and reach their potential.
