• Alan Krause 04/13/2026 (bakken-young.com) — Longtime area resident Alan L. Krause, who retired to Hager City after years of farming near Maiden Rock, has passed away at age 89. Family, friends, and neighbors can honor him at a funeral service Saturday, April 25, at Bethel Covenant Church near Ellsworth, with visitation an hour beforehand and livestream viewing available.
