• Beloit man sentenced to life in prison for killing his friend (wkow.com) — A homicide case with strong ties to Rock County courts in Janesville has ended with a Beloit man sentenced to life in prison without release for killing a friend in 2025. Jurors convicted him after a weeklong trial featuring eyewitness testimony and bodycam video, and the judge imposed consecutive sentences following emotional statements from the victim’s family and other witnesses.
