• Waupaca Historical Society Partners with WDVA for care of Commandant House (waupacanow.com) — Residents of King will soon be able to tour the historic Commandant House at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, now under the care of the Waupaca Historical Society. A new agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs transfers stewardship to a local committee, which plans summer tours following Chain Skiers shows and long-term preservation of veterans’ stories tied to the home.
