• Emplify Health by Gundersen opens new emergency psychiatric unit in La Crosse (news8000.com) — Residents in La Crosse will soon have 24/7 access to a new emergency mental health and psychiatric treatment unit at Emplify Health by Gundersen, opening April 23. The $5.2 million EmPATH facility, funded largely by community donations, is designed to give people in crisis immediate, specialized care while helping many avoid long hospital stays and crowded emergency rooms.
   

• La Crosse park board advances e-bike, e-scooter ordinance changes (news8000.com) — New rules for e-bikes and e-scooters in La Crosse are moving forward, potentially changing how you ride on sidewalks, streets, and in city parks. The park board backed an ordinance that allows pedal-assist bikes but bans throttles on sidewalks, limits scooters downtown, and restricts both devices from natural trails and certain park areas, pending final city approvals in May.
   

• City of La Crosse launches newly revamped website (weau.com) — La Crosse’s city government has rolled out a newly revamped website aimed at making it easier for residents and visitors to access services and information. The updated site promises better accessibility, mobile-friendly navigation, and streamlined online tools so you can connect with City Hall more easily from your phone or computer.
