• A week after officer-involved shooting, DOJ still investigating incident (gazettextra.com) — Lake Hallie officers were among several agencies responding to last week’s fatal officer-involved shooting outside a hotel on West Park Avenue in Chippewa Falls. State investigators say the subject fled a vehicle, appeared to brandish a handgun, and was shot by a pursuing officer. The DOJ is still investigating, has not released the person’s name, and is withholding further details for now.
