• Highway workers receive award for saving 12 cats in Little Chute (nbc26.com) — Highway workers recently rescued 12 overheated cats from an abandoned van off I‑41 at County Highway N in Little Chute, and they’re now being honored by PETA. Outagamie County staff quickly opened the van and alerted authorities on a nearly 90‑degree day, ensuring the animals were taken to a shelter and are recovering safely.

• Gas prices below $4 across Fox Cities. Here's what we found (postcrescent.com) — Drivers around Little Chute are seeing some relief at the pump, with Fox Cities gas prices dipping below $4 a gallon and Outagamie County averaging about $3.96. Reporters checked stations across Appleton, Kaukauna, Neenah and more, comparing today’s prices with last month’s highs and last year’s much cheaper average to show how far your fuel dollar now goes.
