• State gets final OK to sell 2 downtown Madison office buildings (wpr.org) — Two state-owned office buildings just blocks from the Capitol are being sold to a Madison developer, clearing the way for more than 400 new apartments and added parking downtown. Lawmakers are split over whether the $12.7 million sale underprices prime Madison real estate, but officials say costly maintenance needs and weak demand for older office space justify the deal.
   

• Board of Regents asks for UW-Madison residence hall, Mosse demolition in 2027-2029 budget request (dailycardinal.com) — UW-Madison could see a new 2,000-bed residence hall, demolition of the aging Mosse Humanities building, and expanded parking at American Family Children's Hospital under a new UW System budget request. The plan also seeks a two-year in-state tuition freeze, major utility and data upgrades, and new financial aid and workforce initiatives that would shape campus life and Madison's broader community.
