• Marinette Marine Awarded $30M for Landing Ship Medium Ahead of Vessel Construction Manager Selection (usni.org) — Marinette’s Fincantieri Marinette Marine has secured a $30 million Navy contract to buy materials and plan for four new McClung-class landing ships, positioning the local yard for major construction work as soon as late this year. The deal is an early boost to the shipyard’s workload and supports the Navy’s push for a modernized fleet, with more contracts expected under a broader vessel construction program.
