• Marshfield Tigers Softball Falls to Muskego (onfocus.news) — Marshfield High’s softball season ended in Madison with a 14–8 loss to No. 2 Muskego in the Division 1 state quarterfinals, despite a late Tigers rally. Marshfield led early and mounted a big fifth‑inning comeback, but defensive miscues and an eight‑run Muskego third inning proved too much to overcome. 
• Skunk Escapes From Marshfield Zoo (wsau.com) — Wildwood Zoo staff in Marshfield are asking residents to help locate Violet, a descented, vaccinated striped skunk that escaped her habitat after recent heavy precipitation. She’s used to people but should not be handled; anyone who spots her is urged to call Marshfield dispatch at 715-387-4394 and keep visual contact until officials arrive.
• Marshfield Clinic names behavioral health grant recipients (sanfordhealth.org) — Marshfield Clinic, based in Marshfield, has awarded 60 grants to school districts and organizations to expand youth mental health support across its service area, including central Wisconsin communities. The funding backs two programs—b.e.s.t. Universal Screening and Life Tools—that help schools identify students needing behavioral support and teach coping skills, aiming to address problems early and strengthen kids’ emotional health.
