1. Milwaukee County official explains why some tornado sirens failed during severe storms (cbs58.com) — Milwaukee County officials say an equipment failure kept some outdoor warning sirens from sounding during Tuesday night's storms, but they've identified and fixed the specific problem. About half the county's sirens, including those serving Milwaukee, are already on a new system, with full replacement expected by early 2027. Residents are urged to use phones, weather radios, and apps as backup alerts.
