The case argues local noise ordinances miss these sounds, and its outcome could influence how data centers across the country are designed, monitored, and held accountable for noise impacts. 
• Microsoft Wisconsin Data Center Uses About as Much Water as a Restaurant (vinnews.com) — Microsoft's new data center in Mount Pleasant is expected to use roughly the annual water of a single restaurant, thanks to a closed-loop cooling system that recycles water. Racine records project about 2.8 million gallons of use in 2026, with possible expansion to 8.4 million gallons a year, as state and local officials debate how to regulate fast-growing data center projects.
