Severe storms knock out power for 200,000 in the Midwest (rollingout.com) — Severe storms have knocked out power to thousands in Winnebago County, with neighborhoods in and around Oshkosh seeing extensive outages and damage from destructive winds. Utilities and emergency crews are working to clear downed trees and restore service, while forecasters warn more dangerous storms, high winds, hail, and possible flooding could hit the region through Thursday.

2. Wittman Regional Airport may lease 47 acres for hangar space (fox11online.com) — Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh could soon lease 47 acres in its Aviation Business Park to Volare Hangars for up to 100 new hangars and related facilities. Winnebago County leaders say the project could boost jobs, visitors, and lease revenue, potentially easing pressure on property taxpayers. County supervisors are expected to vote on the proposal Tuesday, just ahead of AirVenture.

Oshkosh Boys & Girls Clubs & local groups kick off sunscreen donation drive (wearegreenbay.com) — Families in Oshkosh can benefit from a new Operation: Sunscreen drive led by the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, Discover Oshkosh, and Westhaven Golf Club. Residents are invited to donate new SPF 30+ sunscreen at three Oshkosh locations, helping kids stay protected while enjoying outdoor summer activities across the city.

Fantasy author Julian Greystoke visits Oshkosh (thenorthwestern.com) — Fantasy author and editor Julian Greystoke will meet readers at Caramel Crisp Bookstore in downtown Oshkosh on June 20, offering signings and craft conversations.
