His quick thinking returned the money, alerted deputies, and prompted a reminder that law enforcement will never ask people to deliver cash or wire money to resolve legal issues. 
• One Wisconsin artist's quest to draw bird migration at a life-size scale (wuwm.com subscription) — An ongoing ARTservancy residency is bringing fresh attention to Gallery 224 in Port Washington, where a 2027 exhibit will showcase life-size depictions of migratory birds. Manitowoc science illustrator Rebecca Jabs is spending a year at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve, documenting bird migration and land stewardship through sketches, data, and large-scale mixed-media work.
• Port Washington Pirates open season with dominant win, set sights on state championship (tmj4.com) — Port Washington is buzzing after the Pirates football team opened its season with a 39-20 win over Sheboygan North, powered by junior quarterback Jack Bunyan's 495 passing yards and five touchdowns. Players and coaches say the explosive offense has them thinking beyond a hot start, openly targeting conference and state championships this fall.
