• ATC resubmits plan for data center transmission lines (ibmadison.com) — Regulators have ordered American Transmission Co. to resubmit its plan for power lines serving the enormous $15 billion AI data center in Port Washington, triggering a revised application with major changes. The updated 100-mile project now includes new voltage-regulating equipment and a sharply higher price tag, jumping from $1.6 billion to $2.7 billion, with big implications for local infrastructure.
   

• Data center transmission line plan moved off artist's Saukville property (news-shield.com) — Plans for a transmission line to power the Port Washington data center have been revised so they no longer cut across a Saukville artist's 52-acre property, avoiding a potential eminent domain fight. The massive $8 billion Port Washington facility, expected to draw enormous electricity, continues to raise questions about where new power lines should go and how local landscapes will be protected.
   

• THU AM News: Recovery.com deploying AI projects as user base grows; Marquette poll finds public skeptical of AI, data centers (wisbusiness.com) — A judge has dismissed the lawsuit challenging Port Washington's tax increment financing district for the massive Vantage-Oracle-OpenAI data center, clearing the way for the $15 billion project's current financing plan. City officials say infrastructure funded through TID No. 5 will benefit residents of the city and town of Port Washington at no direct cost, while other sections cover broader Wisconsin AI, investment, and regulatory news.
