• How the end of Wisconsin's Child Care Counts funding will affect Door County (doorcountyknock.org) — Northern Door Children’s Center in Sister Bay is the only licensed childcare provider between Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island, and it’s bracing for the end of Wisconsin’s Child Care Counts funding this month. Local nonprofit centers across Door County say they’ll stay open through careful planning and heavy fundraising, but warn that low wages, high tuition, and seasonal work patterns are straining families and the childcare workforce.
   

• Homeowner Relief Funds Available (doorcountypulse.com) — If your Sister Bay home or rental was damaged or displaced by April’s storms, you may qualify for up to $1,000 in Realtor Relief Funds. Door and Kewaunee County residents can apply whether they own or rent, including help for hotel or Airbnb costs, by submitting an application through the Door County Board of Realtors online or by mail.
