• Stevens Point teachers earn Classroom Impact Awards for student growth (stevenspointjournal.com) — Ten educators in the Stevens Point Area Public School District have been honored with Classroom Impact Awards for driving strong academic growth among their students in 2025-26. Elementary teachers saw 100% of their students meet meaningful or aggressive growth goals, while secondary teachers were recognized for helping large numbers exceed expectations. District leaders say the awards spotlight daily classroom work behind those gains. 
• Commission approves continuation of alcohol sales at Pointer games (waupacanow.com) — If you’re heading to UW-Stevens Point home games, beer sales at Community Stadium and KB Willett Arena will continue after a unanimous vote by the Stevens Point Board of Park Commissioners. After a first season with over 4,200 beers sold and no reported incidents, commissioners praised UWSP’s security measures and will review sales and safety data each year.
• Plover Man Arrested for Burglary, Theft of Women's Underwear (wsau.com) — A Plover man has been arrested after a 21-year-old Stevens Point woman reported that all of her underwear was stolen from her home, with no other items missing. Investigators say surveillance footage helped identify the suspect, who now faces burglary and bail-jumping charges tied to prior stalking cases. Stevens Point police are asking anyone with similar theft experiences to contact the department.
