• Woman sentenced for trying to stab her father to death in Stoughton (nbc15.com) — Stoughton residents may want to know that a woman has been ordered to 20 years of mental health commitment after seriously injuring her father in a July 2025 stabbing on South Page Street. Police say she was arrested in Stoughton, appeared to be hallucinating, and later entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect before sentencing in Dane County court. 
• Baseball: Huettl fans 10 as Fort stymies Stoughton 9-3 (gazettextra.com) — Stoughton High’s baseball team fell 9-3 at home Thursday as Fort Atkinson capitalized on five Viking errors and strong pitching from Levi Huettl, who struck out 10 over five innings. The teams are set to meet again this afternoon at 4 p.m. at Jones Park, giving Stoughton a quick chance to bounce back.
