Doorway to Learning and the YMCA in Sturgeon Bay, along with other Door County nonprofits, are fundraising heavily to keep care affordable, even as high costs push some parents out of the workforce.
   

2. Apartment Project Awarded Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (doorcountypulse.com) — A 60-unit Columbia Corners affordable apartment project in Sturgeon Bay has secured $1.3 million in low-income housing tax credits, unlocking city support committed last year. City leaders are also eyeing Tax Incremental District expansions to fund sidewalks, pedestrian upgrades, and a possible Ashland Avenue extension tied to future development along Green Bay Road.
   

3. Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club Announces the Return of the Summer MusicSeries, 'Wine Down Wednesday' (doorcounty.net) — Sturgeon Bay residents can look forward to Wine Down Wednesday, a free six-week live music series at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club patio starting July 1. Open to the public, the Wednesday evening events will feature rotating local musicians, special food and drink options, and waterfront views of Sturgeon Bay through mid-August.
   

4. Homeowner Relief Funds Available (doorcountypulse.com) — Door and Kewaunee County residents dealing with April storm damage can now apply for up to $1,000 in Realtor Relief Funds, with applications handled through the Door County Board of Realtors in Sturgeon Bay. Homeowners and renters may qualify for help with repairs, temporary housing, or hotel costs if their primary residence was damaged or they were displaced.
