• Viroqua Fire Department successfully contained a structure fire (civicmedia.us) — Viola firefighters helped Viroqua crews knock down a Tuesday afternoon structure fire at the Heritage Inn in Viroqua, which was contained with only minor smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported, and the cause is still under investigation, but the quick mutual-aid response from Viola and Westby departments helped keep the blaze from spreading further.
