• Wisconsin Rapids Farmers Market returns for 2026 season (wsaw.com) — Downtown Wisconsin Rapids’ Farmers Market is now open for its 8th season, running every Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 10 on 1st Avenue. Shoppers can use SNAP, WIC, senior vouchers, and a new Double Dollar program that stretches FoodShare benefits for fresh produce while directly supporting local farmers and vendors.
   

• South Wood County Historical Museum explores America's immigration story starting July 2 (waow.com) — Wisconsin Rapids residents can explore a free traveling exhibit on America’s immigration story at the South Wood County Historical Museum from July 2 to Aug. 24. Located at 540 Third Street South, the accessible Brazeau Gallery display uses documents, photos, and maps to examine immigration’s impact on U.S. history, identity, and policy, with regular afternoon hours four days a week.
   

• Flying Mummies Outlast Rivets in 12-Inning Thriller (northwoodsleague.com) — Wisconsin Rapids baseball fans just saw a thriller, with the Rafters walking off Battle Creek 9–8 thanks to a ninth-inning RBI double at home. Big nights from Nico Defazio and Jax LeGrand powered the offense, and the teams square off again in Wisconsin Rapids tonight at 6:05 p.m. for more Northwoods League action.
