• Failed catalytic converter cause of recent Cole Creek Wildland Fire (dailydispatch.com) — Evansville firefighters were among several Natrona County agencies credited with quickly containing Tuesday’s Cole Creek Wildland Fire, which burned 47.2 acres but caused no injuries or structural damage. Investigators say a failing automobile catalytic converter along Cole Creek Road sparked the blaze, and strong mutual aid helped protect nearby homes, property, and livestock.
