For local cancer patients, the road to healing is about to get shorter (buckrail.com) — Local cancer patients in Jackson may soon avoid long trips to Idaho Falls as St. John’s Health moves ahead with a new Cancer Center that will finally offer radiation therapy close to home. Backed by a $25 million fundraising campaign from the St. John’s Health Foundation, the project aims to keep patients, care, and healthcare dollars in Teton County while easing emotional and financial burdens.
