5. Lummis Still Backs 'Trump Interstate' Despite Texas Sponsor Losing Interest In It (cowboystatedaily.com) — A proposal to rename and upgrade U.S. 287 into Interstate 47, honoring former President Trump, could eventually bring heavier traffic through Laramie, though its political momentum appears to be slowing. Wyoming Sen. Cynthia Lummis still backs the bill, while Laramie Mayor Sharon Cumbie has criticized it as a political stunt and worries about impacts on the city’s rural character and pace of life.
