Traffic Advisory: North Englewood Avenue Closure Thursday (wiregrassdailynews.com) — Expect a full closure on North Englewood Avenue in Dothan today as Dothan Utilities crews replace a water main between the 100 block and Kent Drive from 6:30 a.m. to about 4 p.m. Drivers are urged to detour, slow down near the work zone, and watch for workers and traffic control signs.

Dothan commissioner calls proposed trash fee hike a ‘hard no' (wtvy.com) — A Dothan city commissioner says he’ll firmly oppose raising monthly solid waste fees from about $15 to $20 this fall, despite the city losing millions on trash pickup for more than 70,000 residents. TV Meteorologist Continues Live Report As Tornado Hits Building (newsblues.com) — A tornado directly struck Dothan’s ABC affiliate WDHN back in May, but chief meteorologist Jordan Ambrose stayed on the air to keep viewers informed even as the building took damage. With winds around 105 mph shattering glass and tearing off an awning, no one was hurt, and Ambrose says the experience will help him better communicate storm risks to Dothan-area residents.
