1. Huntsville City Council certifies results of District 3 runoff (rocketcitynow.com) — Huntsville's District 3 council seat will remain with incumbent Jennie Robinson after she won the Sept. 22 runoff with just over 52% of the vote. With turnout under 20%, her victory joins previously certified District 2 and 4 results, and all newly elected city officials are set to be sworn in on Nov. 3.

2. Huntsville city employee guilty of stealing thousands from youth sports league (waff.com) — A Huntsville city employee has pleaded guilty to stealing $73,000 from the Huntsville Eastern League, a youth sports program partly funded by city stipends and taxpayer dollars. She must repay the money within a week and faces a suspended sentence with probation, while city officials review her employment status in the landscape management department.

3. Huntsville seeks public input on Governors Drive safety (rocketcitynow.com) — Huntsville is asking residents to help shape safety improvements along Governors Drive, from 14th Street to Caldwell Lane, through an ongoing traffic study and online survey open until Dec. 15.
