• ASWA softball all-state team features first 6-time selection in history (al.com) — Ider softball standout MaKinley Traylor has been named a five-time all-state selection and Class 1A Hitter of the Year, while pitcher Brynley Traylor also earned first-team honors. Several other Ider players, including McKenna Mitchell and Madelyn Akers, received honorable mention as the Alabama Sports Writers Association released its 2026 all-state softball teams across every classification.
