• Work to begin on $5.3 million widening project along Highway 53 in Harvest (256today.com) — Drivers in northwest Madison County should expect lane shifts and possible delays as a $5.3 million project begins next week to widen about a mile of Highway 53 near Harvest. The work, running through 2027, will add lanes, resurface the roadway, and build on recent traffic-safety upgrades at nearby intersections.
