Only 157 residents cast ballots, and city leaders say they respect the decision but still urge greater participation in future votes affecting public safety and services.
   

• Owens Cross Roads to consider zoning change, cell tower proposal (rocketcitynow.com) — Owens Cross Roads officials will hold a public hearing Monday, Oct. 19, on rezoning 139 Sneed Avenue and allowing a cell tower there, and residents are invited to weigh in. The 6 p.m. meeting at City Hall will accept in-person comments, while written feedback can be emailed in advance to the city’s planning staff.
