4. 23 weekend events: Antiques at the Gardens, Greek Food Festival + more (Oct. 1–4, 2026) (bhamnow.com) — Pelham locals can head to Oak Mountain State Park this weekend for the Appalachian Heritage Series, featuring beginner quilting and corn husk doll classes that require advance registration. The broader roundup highlights dozens of other October 1–4 events across greater Birmingham, from festivals and concerts to races and museum exhibits, offering plenty of options within a short drive.
   

5. Public safety heroes honored at annual Shelby County awards ...
