• Houston students retrace Civil Rights history on Freedom Tour (defendernetwork.com) — Houston-area teens recently walked across Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge and visited Brown Chapel AME Church as part of a week-long Freedom Tour through key civil rights sites. Their journey through Selma, Montgomery, Birmingham, Tuskegee, Memphis, and New Orleans paired museum visits and firsthand stories with guided discussions, inspiring students to see voting, leadership, and Black history as part of their own responsibility.
