Deviled Egg Throwdown To Benefit Tuscaloosa Public Library Bookmobile

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Deviled egg lovers from across West Alabama are invited to a new culinary competition this weekend that will also support a worthwhile cause.

The inaugural Deviled Egg Throwdown will be held Saturday, May 30, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Druid City Brewing Company, with proceeds benefiting the Tuscaloosa Public Library Bookmobile program.

TPL's Bookmobile program provides books, educational resources and outreach services to communities throughout Tuscaloosa County.

The event will feature local restaurants competing for the Golden Egg Award for Culinary Excellence and the crowd-selected People’s Choice Award.

Attendees will have the chance to sample a variety of deviled egg recipes and vote for their favorites while a panel of celebrity judges will determine the top honors of the afternoon.

Tickets are $10 and include tastings, voting privileges and entry into a giveaway for a $1,000 BFGoodrich tire certificate.

Live music from Harrison McCullough will also be featured during the event.
