• Vestavia Hills Rebounds With Convincing Win Over Oak Mountain, 43-13 (otmj.com) — Vestavia Hills fans can celebrate a big football rebound, as the Rebels crushed Oak Mountain 43-13 to earn their first 6A Region 3 win and improve to 3-1. Quarterback Charlie Taaffe returned from injury with 324 passing yards, and the defense stifled a strong Eagles rushing attack, setting up a key home region matchup with Spain Park on Friday, Sept. 18.
