Local Husband-and-Wife Team Bring First 16 Handles to Arizona in Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz. (March 23, 2026) – 16 Handles, the upscale frozen yogurt and dessert franchise known for its modern design and viral flavors, will open its first-ever Arizona location in Chandler on March 28. The new shop, located at 4040 S. Arizona Ave, introduces the popular concept to the state and aims to become a community-driven dessert destination for the Valley.

To celebrate, the Chandler location will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 28, featuring free frozen yogurt for the first 100 guests, along with special promotions throughout the day. Guests can enjoy 50% off from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., as well as 25% off all weekend long. The event will also include entertainment and giveaways, creating a fun, community-focused celebration guests won’t want to miss.

The new 16 Handles in Chandler is owned and operated by local husband-and-wife team Tom and Teresa Eubanks. Tom, a Navy veteran, spent 30 years working as an air traffic controller before retiring, while Teresa, an Arizona native with an MBA, brings a strong background in accounting. The couple was inspired to open the franchise after trying frozen yogurt for the first time during their 20th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii, where they were immediately drawn to the concept and vibrant atmosphere. That moment sparked the idea of bringing the experience back to their community.

Now, they are opening the 1,595-square-foot Chandler location with plans to create a welcoming, family-friendly space that encourages sweet moments and connection while bringing nearly 20 local jobs to the area. They also plan to expand locally with a second location in Mesa in the future, further growing their presence in the Valley.
