Man accused of impersonating officer during I-17 traffic stop in north Phoenix (azfamily.com) — Drivers in north Phoenix are being warned after a man allegedly used red and blue dashboard lights on an older gray Chevrolet pickup to pull over a Tesla on I-17 while pretending to be an officer. He was arrested, but DPS believes there may be other victims and is urging Phoenix-area motorists to report any similar traffic stops.
   

2. Newly built luxury estate in Arcadia listed for $23.5 million (ktar.com) — A record-setting luxury home in Phoenix's Arcadia neighborhood just hit the market for $23.5 million, with sweeping Camelback Mountain views and resort-style amenities. The 9,388-square-foot custom estate includes indoor sports facilities, multiple courts, a speakeasy-style office, and a six-car climate-controlled garage, and is available for private showings through the owner-agent.
   

3. 'You ready to die?' Ex-con on drugs breaks into woman's Phoenix home after shooting her in the leg, cops say (fox10phoenix.com) — Phoenix police say a California man on probation is jailed on a $1 million bond after a woman was shot, beaten, and chased into her home near 12th–13th Street and Mission Lane. The victim's 911 call reportedly captured the attack and break-in, and officers recovered a handgun and drugs before the suspect's upcoming Maricopa County court appearance.
   

4. Heavy Rain Floods Phoenix Area, Disrupts Flights to Palm Springs (nbcpalmsprings.com) — Severe midweek storms flooded roads across the Phoenix area, stranding vehicles, prompting water rescues, and forcing temporary ground stops at Sky Harbor International Airport. Parts of the region saw nearly four inches of rain in six hours, closing crossings in Mesa and Scottsdale before drier air moved in and flood risks eased heading into the weekend.
