Viral video reignites bus stop safety concerns across Tucson (kold.com) — A viral video of crowded bus stops at 29th and Alvernon has Tucson parents and riders worried about open drug use near a Tucson Unified School District stop. City officials say they're adding environmental deterrents, expanding the Safe City Initiative, and rolling out an ambassador program funded by RTA Next, while a councilmember warns stronger enforcement may still be needed.
   

2. Warming Feet In Need: Socktober seeks 5K pairs for Tucson's unhoused (tucsonweekly.com) — Tucson residents are being asked to help The Salvation Army Tucson collect 5,000 pairs of new socks for unhoused neighbors through its Socktober Drive, running now through Oct. 31. AgeWell Day Returns Next Month With New Classes, Expanded Resource Fair (azjewishpost.com) — Older adults in the Tucson Jewish community can look forward to the next AgeWell Day on Sunday, Oct. 25, featuring new fitness, art, and discussion classes plus an expanded resource expo. Hosted by local partners including the Tucson Jewish Community Center, the event offers health services like flu and Covid shots, information on aging resources, and a healthy lunch. Registration is tiered, with early‑bird pricing available through Oct. 10.
   

4.
