• Mercy Fort Smith awarded more than $19 million through Rural Health Transformation Program (rivervalleydemocratgazette.com) — Mercy Fort Smith is receiving more than $19 million in new federal rural health funding, money that will bolster hospitals and clinics serving Fort Smith and surrounding communities. The grants will expand telehealth, emergency care, and critical-access hospital support across western Arkansas, aiming to keep advanced medical services closer to home for local residents. 
• 78 Arkansas soldiers return home from D.C. mission (ktlo.com) — Dozens of Arkansas National Guard soldiers just landed back in Fort Smith after a months-long security mission in Washington, D.C., and are now heading home across Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. Guard leaders publicly thanked Fort Smith families, employers, and the wider community for steadfast support while the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade carried out high-visibility patrols and emergency responses in the nation's capital.
