UA Little Rock Alumnus David Dunavant Finds His Path Through Music (ualr.edu) — Little Rock guitarist and educator David Dunavant is returning to UA Little Rock on Oct. 1 to talk with music students about entrepreneurship, AI in the music business, and building a private studio. The longtime local musician now runs a Little Rock-based teaching studio and Guitar Wars, a nonprofit that provides instruments, lessons, and an annual downtown guitar competition for underserved Arkansas kids.
   

2. UA Little Rock Redesigns Website to Simplify User Experience (news-usa.today) — Prospective students in Little Rock now have a cleaner, easier-to-use UA Little Rock website that aims to guide them more directly toward applications, campus visits, and financial aid tools. The university simplified navigation, removed cluttered pages, and used data to turn its site into a stronger recruitment tool in a competitive higher-education market.
   

3. UA Little Rock's scholarship program leads to student success (kark.com) — UA Little Rock's Get Your Feet Wet scholarship is giving Little Rock–area professionals like Valerisse Bell-Ovwomiomoriemu a low-cost way to test graduate school by covering one course. With support from graduate dean Brian Berry, students can explore master's programs, then decide whether to enroll full-time while balancing work, family, and new career goals.
   

4. Game of the Week: Blocked field goal, return key for Cabot in win vs. Little Rock Catholic (arkansasonline.com) — Little Rock sports fans will be interested in how Little Rock Catholic's football team fell just short in a 21-14 road loss to Cabot, decided by a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown. The game featured long, time-consuming drives, key fourth-down stops, and standout plays from both defenses as Catholic tried to rally late but couldn't convert on a final fourth down.
