Councilmembers will also weigh more funding for Prewett Water Park repairs, increase an investigative services contract for police oversight, adjust CalVIP violence-prevention grants, and approve a 3% COLA for Confidential Unit employees.
   

4. 5. Contra Costa County High Schools earn top spots in 2026-27 U.S. News Rankings (contracostaherald.com) — Antioch families can celebrate Dozier-Libbey Medical High School, which ranked among California's top 250 high schools and earned a strong national placement in new U.S. News rankings. The report highlights several Contra Costa campuses for academic performance and college readiness, offering a useful benchmark for how local schools stack up statewide and nationally.
